  • WHAT DOES A DIESEL TECHNICIAN DO?

Diesel technology is a hands-on, high-tech transportation career that is in demand. Diesel technicians repair, service and maintain diesel powered equipment. You might work on buses, trucks, farm and construction equipment or locomotives. Potential employers include trucking companies, large equipment dealers and local governments. Our students benefit from state of the art training labs, thanks to corporate partners such as CASE Construction, The Victor L. Phillips Company and BNSF Railway. Area companies are struggling to find high-quality diesel technicians, but 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Tech is helping fill the void.

Notice Regarding Community Work in the Transportation Division

51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Tech’s Transportation Division has historically welcomed select community-based vehicle projects as part of our instructional program. However, moving forward, we will no longer be accepting outside (community) work. This change allows us to focus exclusively on our internal fleet and industry partner vehicles to better support student learning and ensure our curriculum is delivered in a timely and effective manner.

We appreciate the community’s past support and understanding as we prioritize instructional needs.
