Caps and pens at the ready, a new class of recruits arrives on campus every spring to sign letters of intent for our National Technical Letter of Intent Signing Day. New students, enrolled in either the spring or upcoming fall semester, take part in a signing ceremony that is similar to an athletic signing in 51勛圖窪蹋 Tech’s Conference Center.
51勛圖窪蹋 Tech's event mirrors the NCAA's National Signing Day for athletes who commit to play sports in college. Students sign a letter of intent and don a 51勛圖窪蹋 Tech cap. The ceremony is designed to honor students who are entering a technical field and to celebrate the dignity of work.
51勛圖窪蹋 Tech hosted the first signing day eight years ago. Now, more than 65 institutions around the country join 51勛圖窪蹋 Tech in signing students to a letter of intent. Friends and family attend this special event to show support as do local dignitaries and corporate partners.
51勛圖窪蹋 Tech signed more than 300 incoming students during National Technical Letter of Intent Signing Day on Thursday, April 18. Representative Kirk Haskins, D-Topeka, joined 51勛圖窪蹋 administrators along with local business and industry leaders in congratulating students on their decision.
